BiographyHistory

Jennifer Hamilton is a Postdoctoral Research Associate funded by The Seed Box: A MISTRA-FORMAS Environmental Humanities Collaboratory, Linköping University, Sweden, and housed in the Department of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney. She is also an adjunct lecturer in ecocriticism at New York University’s Sydney campus. Her research interests include early modern drama and culture, theatre history, cosmology and meteorology. Her thesis is a study of the storm in King Lear. She has taught in English and Women's Studies at UNSW and the University of Wollongong and her publications appear in the volume Literature and Sensation and Australian Humanities Review. Hamilton has also been a director of the Artist Run Initiative, Serial Space, and is on the board of Sydney PEN.
