Gregory Gilbert received a PhD from Macquarie University in 2004 and was the Senior Research Officer in the Royal Australian Navy's Sea Power Centre Australia before becoming Deputy Royal Australian Air Force Historian in the Office of Air Force History in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. His research interests include the archaeology, anthropology and history of warfare; Egyptology; Middle East history; and military strategy.
