BiographyHistory

'Mr Ernest Edward Waters, editor of the Town and Country Journal and Evening News, died on Jan. 13 of typhoid fever. He was quite a young man, being but thirty-four years old, was a general favourite in Sydney with all classes, and the chief promoter of technological colleges in the colony. He was married, and leaves a wife and three children. His father was a wealthy cotton manufacturer, and was at one time Mayor of Manchester, where the deceased was educated in Owen College.'
