Eikholt studied English Literature and Linguistics at the Philipps-University Marburg and at Cologne University in Germany before moving to Australia.
She is a accredited translator and holds an MA from Monash University, Melbourne for her research on
Henry Handel Richardson. Her PhD thesis focuses on fables and folk tales.
She teaches as Monash University.
