Sydney-born author of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 (tabletop war-game simulations) tie-in fiction.
After university, Reynolds moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked with Games Workshop (publisher of the Warhammer games and their ancillary materials), first as a games developer (for four years) and then as part of the management team (for two years). He then returned to Sydney, where he continues to write material set in the Warhammer universe.
In addition to his Warhammer novels and short stories, Reynolds has also contributed fiction to the Liber Chaotica: Khorne (2003) and the Liber Chaotica: Nurgle (2003), two of the four volumes of the Liber Chaotica, the first authorial attempt to catalogue the four Chaos gods, the source of all magic and evil in the Warhammer universe. These two volumes were republished by the Black Library, along with the other two Liber Chaotica volumes, in the single-volume Liber Chaotica: Complete Edition in 2006.
Reynolds has also contributed extensively to corebooks (the base rulebooks) and sourcebooks (supplementary material) for Warhammer games. He is the author of Warhammer Armies: Bretonnia (Games Workshop, 2003) and Warhammer Armies: Lizardmen (Games Workshop, 2003), the co-author of Warhammer Armies: Tomb Kings (with Gav Thorpe and Alessio Cavatore, Games Workshop, 2002), Warhammer Armies: Hordes of Chaos (with Gav Thorpe, Alessio Cavatore, and Rick Priestley, Games Workshop, 2002), Warhammer Armies: Wood Elves (with Mat Ward, Games Workshop, 2005), and Warhammer Armies: Skaven (with Alessio Cavatore, Games Workshop, 2002), and has contributed additional material to Warhammer Armies: High Elves (Games Workshop, 2001), Warhammer Armies: Beastmen (Games Workshop, 2003), Warhammer Armies: Ogre Kingdoms (Games Workshop, 2004), and Warhammer Armies: Storm of Chaos (Games Workshop, 2004).
He co-authored Mordheim: Empire in Flames with Steven Hambrook, Nick Kyme, and Mark Havener (Games Workshop, 2003), and contributed material to the Warhammer 40,000 4th Edition Rulebook (Games Workshop, 2004), Codex: Witchhunters (Games Workshop, 2003), Index Astartes, Index Astartes II, and Index Astartes III (the latter all Games Workshop, 2002).
He also wrote the script and story for the computer game Warhammer Mark of Chaos: Battle March (2008), which had a cross-platform release on PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 360.
