BiographyHistory

Graham Lang gained a Master of Fine Art from Rhodes University and 'taught in various South African institutions before migrating to Australia in 1990'. Lang has been a senior lecturer in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle.

'An accomplished artist and sculpture, Graham Lang has exhibited widely in South Africa and Australia.' Lang's first two novels - Clouds Like Black Dogs (2003) and Place of Birth (2006) - were published in South Africa by Jonathan Ball. Place of Birth was longlisted for the Sunday Times Prize, South Africa's premier literary award.
