Margaret Daiyi is from the Wagait floodplains area of the Northern Territory and belongs to the MakMak people. Margaret is the daughter of Nancy Daiyi and was born in the bush along with her sister Kathy Deveraux. Margaret Daiyi is also the sister of Linda Ford (qq.v.) and works toward the environmental conservation of MakMak lands vulnerable to introducted plant species.
