BiographyHistory

Kathy Deveraux is a storyteller and contributor to the book Country of the Heart : An Indigenous Australian Homeland. Kathy Deveraux is a MakMak woman belonging to the Wagait floodplains area of the Northern Territory. Her fathers' name was Max Sargent who owned Finniss River Station where Kathy grew up in the stock camps. Kathy Deveraux was born in the bush and is the daughter of Nancy Daiyi and the sister of Linda Ford and Margaret Daiyi (qq.v.).
