BiographyHistory

Writing WA (Writing Western Australia) is an organisation supporting Australian writers, publishers and other practitioners, including facilitating participation in international festivals.

From 2004-2014, Writing WA managed the T.A.G. Hungerford Award. In 2015, the organisation partnered with State Library of Western Australia to co-found the 'Disrupted Festival of Ideas' literary festival.

In 2019, Writing WA established the Writing WA Literary Lions Award to honour their 'Literary Lions' (donors).
