BiographyHistory

Douglas Muecke graduated with BA Hons from Adelaide University, an MA from Oxford University and a DLitt from Adelaide University. He has worked in the English Departments of Adelaide University, Newcastle University College and Monash University, and was made a Fellow of the Humanities Research Centre, ANU. He has published poetry, literary criticism and reviews, and has written plays for radio and stage. His work on irony has been translated into a number of languages. Another focus of his research has been the work of the Adelaide poet Charles Jury.
