BiographyHistory

'Anastasia Gessa-Liveriadis was born in 1935 in a provincial town in Western Macedonia but has lived in Melbourne, since late 1959. She graduated from the Advanced School of Public Health in Athens in 1956, and has devoted most of her professional life to mental health nursing education. Soula (to her friends) is also a graduate of the College of Nursing Australia (DipNEd), and Latrobe University (BEd, MEd).

Since retiring, she has been able to devote more time to writing. Her poems and short stories (in Greek and English) have been published in magazines and newspapers and have gained awards in Greek literary competitions.' Source: http://sidharta.com/ (Sighted 20/07/2011).
