BiographyHistory

Claude Morris grew up in the town of Watsonville and spent most of his adult life with the Queensland Railways. His childhood experiences left Morris with a deep love of the Australian bush, and a great fondness for 'mining people' and their acceptance of harsh living conditions. Morris's poem, 'The Legend of Angel Creek', is a tribute to the mining families of his parents' generation.
