1 form y separately published work icon Stygian Shannon Young , James Wan , ( dir. Shannon Young ) Melbourne : Hybrid Films , 2000 Z1873523 2000 single work film/TV horror fantasy

When young couple Jamie and Melinda find themselves trapped in another world known as Exile, Jamie must seek out Melinda.

The first feature-length film from James Wan, who was to go on to direct Saw, and his fellow RMIT student Shannon Young, Stygian is now rare and difficult to access: though it did do the festival circuit on release, it has never been released on DVD.

At the time of its release at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival, however, the reviewer noted that 'Stygian allows its ambition to exceed its ability as it puts its highly capable male lead through a feature length chase sequence. This action fantasy does require audience stamina but packs itself with invention especially in the area of make-up special effects.'
