BiographyHistory

Leigh Whannell grew up in Melbourne and studied Media Arts at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Whannell met director James Wan while at RMIT and the two subsequently co-wrote the first of the Saw films together. They continued to collaborate on other horror movies including Insidious (2010).
