Jaye Ford grew up on Sydney's northern beaches, attending Mackellar Girls High School. She moved to Bathurst to study for a communications degree at what was then Mitchell College of Advanced Education (now Charles Sturt University) and then began what would be a twelve-year career as a journalist in radio, print, and television. After twelve years, she established her own public relations consultancy.
Her first novel was published in 2011, and won two Davitt Awards: Best Debut and Readers' Choice. Ford has since published a number of additional thrillers (all of which have made it to the Davitt Award longlists) and two romantic comedies.
Ford writes thrillers under her own name and romantic comedies under a pen-name.
