Born in England, Charlotte Nash moved to Australia with her family and grew up in the Redlands region of Brisbane. She graduated from university with degrees in Engineering and Medicine, having spent time on rotation in north-west Queensland and on an army base. Returning to engineering, she worked for the CSIRO and private industry, building rockets and traversing sites as an incident investigator. She works as a freelance technical writer, and writer of genre fiction. Her first story to be published was 'The Ship's Doctor' (2010).
