Canadian author Deirdre Kessler has written more than two dozen books and award-winning children's novels and picture books. In November 2010, she was artist-in-residence in the Cataract Gorge, Launceston, where she worked on a new collection of poems, with the working title Echidna on the Snake Gully Track.
