In 2012, Daina Reid was nominated for an AACTA Award, Best Direction in Television for Howzat! Kerry Packer's War (Part 1). In 2018, she directed two episodes of series two of The Handmaid's Tale, the enormously successful American adaptation of Margaret Atwood's novel of the same name. She followed this with additional two episodes in 2019.
