Theatre director, playwright and performer, Fleur Kilpatrick grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, before moving to Melbourne, Victoria. She completed a degree in theatre at Monash University and a Masters of Performance Writing at the Victorian College of the Arts. In 2014, she completed a dramaturgy internship with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
Aged seventeen, she was the co-winner of the (South Australian) State Theatre Company's Young Playwright's Award. She has since won the Jill Blewett Playwright's Award and the Max Afford Award.
In 2018, Kilpatrick was Artistic Director of Monash Academy of the Performing Arts. She is also the co-founder of Lonely Company, which supports emerging playwrights in order to help them develop sustainable careers.
