BiographyHistory

Kathy Gibson, a Palm Island elder and singer, was a child when she was sent to Palm Island with her family. She trained as a nurse, and cared for the babies whose mothers were on Fantome Island which was used as a treatment facility for venereal diseases and a lazaret.
