BiographyHistory

Dianne Highbridge grew up in Sydney and graduated from the University of Sydney. She continued her postgraduate studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, then at the University of Tokyo. In Tokyo, Highbridge began to write and to publish, including a weekly column titled 'Off the Shelf' in the Daily Yomiuri. Highbridge has taught Creative Writing at Temple University Japan, (the Tokyo campus of Temple University, Philadelphia, USA) and English at Gakushuin University. Her short stories, journalism and reviews have been published in Australian, Pacific, British and American magazines.
