BiographyHistory

Thomas Horton James was a colonial merchant, landowner and traveller. He operated T. H. James and Company from George St, Sydney, was involved in a shipping business and helped establish the Sydney Commercial Bank.

Horton James contributed to several Sydney newspapers, sometimes using the pseudonym 'Rubio', and wrote pamphlets and travel accounts.
