A.J. Carruthers is a contemporary poet and scholar of Canadian and North American poetry and poetics. His work has been published in the anthology Contemporary Asian-Australian Poets (Puncher & Wattmann). His chapbook 'The Tulip Beds: A Toneme Suite' (Sydney: Vagabond, 2013) is an initial part of a long poem project entitled Hemisphere. Another, Tonary, is forthcoming in 2014 with SUS Press.
