Michelle Sweeney was born in England but has lived most of her life in Australia. Having worked as a waitress, editorial assistant, production controller and youth worker, she then became a secondary school teacher. In 2010 she lived in Victoria and was undertaking her Masters of Writing and Literature at Deakin University.
