Sonya Helbig was born in Queensland, has lived in Melbourne, Adelaide and outback New South Wales but states that she belongs in Perth, Western Australia. Her fiction, poetry and articles have appeared in Island literary magazine, The School Magazine, The West Australian, The Specusphere and the Writers of the Future XXIV anthology.
