BiographyHistory

'T. E. Sparrow was for the first two years of his life an Englishman. Then, wisely, he persuaded his parents to leave Portsmouth and come to Australia, where he has resided for 23 years. He is (educationally) a product of the Sydney Boys' High School. He quotes himself as being "a very ordinary sort of person" and has no illusions about his literary ability. Still, outside his interests of tennis, swimming, fishing, etc., he finds a transcendent charm in studying the short story form. More work from his pen will appear in "Flame"' (Flame 1.1, 1936, p.64).
