Nancy Pianta was born between Turner Station and Turkey Creek in the Kimberley of Western Australia. Pianta was removed from her parents by the Chief Protector and taken to Beagle Bay Mission in 1911. Nancy married Leo Francis at Beagle Bay Mission and was the mother of Frankie, Joe and Gemma.
