Kim Edwards graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts. While at UNSW, he edited the magazine for Commerce and Economic students. In 2008, Kim (then working as a senior analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia) was a recipient of a Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship.
