BiographyHistory

This agent appears to have been Mary Margaret Coughlan, whose parents came to Queensland from Victoria in 1876, to take up Bona Vista station in the Maranoa district. Following the death of her father in 1880, she then appears to have lived for a decade or so at Scotland station, near Yeulba, which was owned by two of her brothers. Another of her brothers, Lance Bernard Coughlan (d. 1927), was at one time editor and joint owner the St. George Standard. She never married. Further biographical details remain to be established.
