BiographyHistory

Frederick Bennett B.Sc. was a Queensland school teacher, who was headmaster at Morven and Irvinebank state schools during the 1890s. In 1909 he was appointed headmaster at Toowong State School in Brisbane, where he remained until his retirement in 1934. In Brisbane, Bennett became prominent within educational circles, and he was also a member of the Queensland Authors and Artists' Association, the Royal Society of Queensland and the University of Queensland Senate.
