BiographyHistory

Arthur Bancroft served in the Royal Australian Navy during World War II. He survived the sinking of H.M.A.S. Perth and captivity on the Thai-Burma Railway. During the war, Bancroft maintained a diary that later formed the basis of his autobiography Authur's War (2010).
