'Pushpinder Syal is a professor in the Department of English and Cultural Studies at Panjab University Chandigarh. She has a PhD from the University of Lancaster, UK, and a number of research publications in the areas of stylistics and language teaching, and on literatures in English, including African, Indian and Australian Literature in English.
