Melanie Dinjaski created and hosted the program The Stomping Ground, which has been broadcast by Brisbane's community television station 31 and showcases the talents of The University of Queensland's journalism and communications students. Dinjaski has also been involved in the Indigenous Voice project at The University of Queensland, a project run by The University of Queensland's School of Journalism and Communication.
