BiographyHistory

'Makany was a man of many talents. As well as being a fine dancer, he was a gifted artist and storyteller.' At the request of the Kija women, 'he shared his knowledge with and explained his complex art work' to Veronica Ryan (q.v.) who was recording the stories of Kija women at Warmun community in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
