BiographyHistory

Trevor Sykes is one of Australia's leading finance journalists. In a long career he has at times been Editor of The Bulletin, Editor-in-chief of Australian Business magazine, Assistant Editor and Melbourne Bureau Chief of the Australian Financial Review and Finance Editor of the Melbourne Sun News-Pictorial. For many years, Trevor Sykes wrote the Pierpont finance column for the Australian Financial Review.

He has been the author of many other books that include The Money Miners : Australia's mining boom, 1969-70 (1978), Vintage Pierpont (1985), Two Centuries of Panic : a history of corporate collapses in Australia (1987), The Bold Riders : behind Australia's corporate collapses (1994) and The Numbers Game (2001).
