'Matt Lacey is in a mental health facility recovering from a breakdown.

'In an attempt to work through a mess of conflicting thoughts and feelings, he writes, unwinding the story of his adolescence with the beautiful, impassive, fierce Christina.

'As Matt delves into the more agonising moments of his past, he has to learn to look directly at the pain and love that have made him who he is now.

'Brazenly wearing its heart on its sleeve, Electric and Mad and Brave is a heightened and technicolour story about the soaring joy and numbing nightmare of being young and hopelessly in love.' (Publication summary)

1 1 Tell Them That It Rained too Hard Tom Pitts , 2011 single work drama 'The play tackles an age-old argument: sexual liberation versus conventional relationships. The protagonist, Helen, discovers that her liberal views are not readily shared by those around her and sits at the opposite end of the spectrum to her best friend, Elizabeth, who has chosen to settle down and get married. Exploring the still divisive issues of sexuality, promiscuity and monogamy, Tell Them That It Rained too Hard presents an unflinchingly polemic view of how today's society is driven by and denies these contentious issues.' 1 1 Ad Nauseum : A Night of Infidelity Tom Pitts , 2010 single work drama

' ... is a monologue following one man's night through the streets and bars of some city or other. Using poetic language and a musical score of waltzes and rock music, the piece is a fractured celebration of excess, egoism and regret, themes that all come at the end of altruism. As the night progresses, using sarcasm and black comedy, the character reveals his various desires and the inevitability of their being played out; and they are played out. And as the audience are taken further and further into his night (maybe further than they wanted to go), they discover that perhaps they're not all that different from him.'
