BiographyHistory

Marjorie Hamilton's father was a man named Alec McLoud who owned the store and library at Borroloola. Her mother's name was Minnie who became Leah after being baptised. Marjorie and her mother Leah moved to Roper River Mission when Marjorie was a child. At the age of nine Marjorie was taken away to live on Groote Eylandt and married a man named Harold Hamilton in 1930.
