BiographyHistory

Respected Elder and Lore man John Noble aka 'Marvelous' was present at the opening of the Provisional Parliament House in May 1927. Jimmy Clements had also attended the event. The police had tried to remove Noble and Clements from Parliament House, they both refused. Noble was born at Muttama Station near Cootamundra, during his life he had frequented towns such as Wagga Wagga, Gundagai, Cootamundra, Yass, Canberra, Milton-Ulladulla, Wollongong and Sydney. Noble was regarded as a 'sideshow curiosity', because of his boomerang throwing demonstrations and dance performances at Agricultural Shows.
