BiographyHistory

Michael Rowe grew up in Ballarat, Victoria. Rowe attended La Trobe University in Victoria and moved to Mexico in his early 20s. He worked on an English language newspaper but immersed himself in the culture learning Spanish for three years. He taught screenwriting in Mexico.

Laura lives a solitary, melancholy, and deceptive life in Oaxaca. Rarely leaving her flat except to buy food and pick up anonymous lovers, she marks off the 29th of February on her calendar as the day she will end it all. As the days draw closer, she meets the tender but also sadistic Arturo, a man who may help rid her of the pain of her existence.
