BiographyHistory

Daughter of Manalargenna, Woretemoeteryenner later lived (possibly as a result of abduction) with George Briggs, a sealer in the Bass Straits (who abducted at least one other Aboriginal woman, and later sold Woretemoeteryenner to a colleague). Her first child with Briggs, Dalrymple ('Dolly') Briggs, is widely regarded as the first living child of an Aboriginal mother and white father born in Tasmania.

Her biography was developed in a publication by Trawlwoolway researcher Maggie Walter (with Louise Daniels).
