BiographyHistory

'Christopher Bevan is a Sydney writer. From 1980-1989 he practised as a lawyer in Kempsey, New South Wales, near Kinchela Boys' Home and while there came to learn of the Kinchela boys' story. He also acted, as a member of the legal firm of J. A. Murray Worthy & Bevan, for the Dungutti Aboriginal Land Council and as an advocate for aboriginals, on instructions from the NSW Aboriginal Legal Service and NSW Legal Aid Commission, in criminal cases.'
