BiographyHistory

Geoffrey Burkhardt is a retired university lecturer, previously employed in the Faculty of Education at the University of Canberra. He has been a Fellow of the Heraldry and Geneology Society of Canberra and has been a Member of its Council. He is the author and co-author of a number of books including: A History of the German Community in the Clarence River District of NSW (with co-author N. Mackey), Australian School Centenary and Jubilee Histories: A Select Bibliography, Canberra and District Local History: A Select Bibliography, Researching Federation Families (co-ed. with D. Mountain) and A Jubilee History of Ainslie School, 1927-2002. He has been a member of the Society of Australian Genealogists, the Canberra and District Historical Society and the Clarence River Historical Society.
