BiographyHistory

John Woolley was an Ipswich journalist. He began work as an apprentice in the production department of the Queensland Times, but subsequently turned to journalism. At one point, he spent a brief period working at the Government Printing Office in Brisbane, and then at the Observer, before returning to the Queensland Times, where he was editor for some 25 years until his retirement.
