Andrew Hurley has a degree in Law and a PhD in German Cultural Studies (from the University of Melbourne). He is the author of The Return of Jazz: Joachim-Ernst Berendt and West German Cultural Change (New York: Berghahn Books, 2009). He has lectured in Cultural Studies at the University of Technology, Sydney.
