BiographyHistory

'At the age of 14, Kenny Broderick was indentured as an apprentice jockey ... in Brisbane.' He suffered discrimination that eventually 'forced him away from racing and he took to the boxing ring. In 1947/48 he was crowned Queensland Golden Gloves Boxing Champion.'
