Michael Thompson was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. He is a published author and illustrator of children's and young adult books. He has drawn pictures for as long as he can remember. His Grade 2 teacher showed him how to make a picture book and he has been thinking about them (and collecting them) on and off ever since. Some of his published credits include Prissy Priscilla, One Starry Day in Heaven and The Magic Lens. Thompson has lived in Perth with his wife and baby girl.
