BiographyHistory

The Australian Film Critics Association (AFCA) 'is a professional association for film critics, film reviewers and film journalists who work regularly in the media and provide informed discussion, analysis, and comment about Australian and world cinema.' AFCA began as the Melbourne Film Critics' Forum in 1996 and became a national organization in 2004. The Association is a member of FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics and Film Journalists. AFCA administers the AFCA Awards.
