BiographyHistory

Peggy Tjingila Cullinan was born at Wamitjara in South Australia. Cullinan was one of the Senior Kokatha, Antikarinya and Yankunytjatjara women who formed the Kupa Piti Kungka Tjuta group to fight the governments desire to build a radioactive waste dump on their traditional lands. The group travelled the world raising awareness and were successful in protecting their traditional lands and culture from being destroyed.
