BiographyHistory

Thomas Birt operated a printing and publishing business in the notoriously impoverished Seven Dials area of London from about 1824 until his death in 1841. He printed broadside ballads and children's books, and advertised his services as a jobbing printer. After his death, Birt's widow Mary Birt continued the business until about 1851.
