BiographyHistory

Stan McBride was born in Cedargetter Creek in New South Wales and is an elder belonging to the Bunjalung people. McBride has been involved in the Aboriginal rights movement in Brisbane including the Queensland Council for Action for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. Stan McBride joined the Labor Party and church organisations in order to promote Aboriginal viewpoints.
